ABOUT THE FESTIVAL - Main cause of this festival is to broadcast videos and films which through its content promote ideas concerning environmental protection and sustainable development. -SEFF is a competitive type festival. ABOUT THE FILMS -Jury will choose only films related to environmental protection and sustainable development for the festival programme. -Films of all genres are accepted with no time limit of production. -Films can last maximum up to 15 minutes. -Films lasting more than 15 minutes will be shown in festival's off programme. -Films can be made by professional or nonprofessional authors and production companies. -There is no limit in the form of the original film, but the copy made for broadcasting has to be taped on a high resolution DVD, Mini DV or a Mini DVCAM tape in PAL standard. -Number of films made by the same author or a production company is not limited.
THE JURY -Selection of the films for the Festival programme will be executed by a jury made of film directors, film critics and people with a long experience in working with TV or video production. -Jury for the selection of the best films in the festival programme is the audience. -Best films will be awarded with first, second and third place certificate.
LANGUAGE -Official languages of the Festival are croatian and english. -Films which are not in croatian or english language will have to be sent with a CD that contains a complete translation of the film in english or croatian in DOC (MS Word) form.
PROMOTION OF SEFF-Organizators of the Festival are entitled to use films or parts of the films which are in the programme of the Festival exclusively to promote SEFF. -If the author doesn't want the film or its parts to be broadcasted in any other form but the Festival programme, that has to be confirmed in a writing form.
DEADLINES -Jury will consider only films sent by the 15th of February 2010. -Authors of films will be notified about the participation of their films by 15th of March 2010. -All tapes will be returned to the authors one month after the end of the Festival at the latest. - Certificates will be sent to the authors of awarded films one month after the end of the Festival at the latest. ACCOMMODATION -Authors that want to attend the Festival are advised to notify the organization team in order to be helped with looking for the accommodation and the organization of the trip. -SEFF will cover no costs related to authors' attending the Festival.
